What is Wrkbase?
Wrkbase is employee management software for small businesses and remote teams. It covers work (tasks, automatic time tracking, team chat, calendar, announcements, automations), people (employees, HR onboarding and documents, attendance with phone clock-in, shift scheduling, timesheets and overtime, leave, payroll, performance with goals and reviews), and business tools (a leads pipeline, invoicing and expenses, an API and webhooks), plus an AI agent that answers questions from your records, proposes actions, and only runs them after a person confirms.
Who is Wrkbase for?
Small businesses and remote teams, roughly 5 to 50 people, where the same few people run the work, the team, and the money. It replaces a task app, a time clock, HR spreadsheets, a payroll sheet, and a simple CRM and invoicing tool with one workspace. It isn't built for enterprise HR, tax-filing payroll, or deep project management.
Does Wrkbase calculate payroll from tracked hours?
For hourly staff, yes. Mark a person as hourly with a rate, and their pay run line is that rate times their hours in the period, breaks excluded: from an approved timesheet where there is one, and the attendance clock otherwise. Hours past your daily overtime threshold are paid at your multiplier, 1.5 times by default. Salaried staff get their salary. Either way you can add a bonus, commission, or deductions, and the run goes through an approval step before it's marked paid. Hours logged on tasks and leave don't change the amount, and Wrkbase doesn't file taxes or move money.
What can the AI agent actually do, and what can it not do?
It can carry out 48 kinds of real actions across tasks, leave, attendance, salary, employees, HR, leads, chat, reports, and settings, but only after you review and confirm the exact plan. It can't invent new capabilities or bypass permissions your role doesn't already have.
Is my data safe if an AI agent can take actions?
Every plan is checked again right before it runs, not just when it was drafted. Actions run one at a time so a single failure never cascades, and every attempt, success or failure, is written to a log that can't be edited or deleted.
Is there really no credit card required to start?
Correct. The Free tier is free for teams up to 5, no card on file. You'll only be asked to pay when you choose to upgrade.
What happens to our data if we cancel?
Your workspace and data stay accessible on the Free tier's limits after downgrade. Nothing is deleted automatically. You're in control of that.
